Activities Victoria Falls

Bungee Jump Victoria Falls bridge

Operated from a spectacular site above Rapid 7 near the Falls car park. The trendiest and wildest activity in Victoria Falls! There is something for every level of madness and courage – In this order: The Flying Fox, Zip Line, Gorge Swing, plus Abseil and Rapp-Jump will blow you mind! And of course there is the good old Bungee Jump from the bridge! Nothing could bring you closer to what it must feel like to be a bird!

Imagine taking a running jump into thin air over the chasm, soaring horizontally through the air over the turmoil of the Zambezi River below. The gorge at this point is 200 meters wide and 120 meters deep. The Flying Fox is a great appetizer before you try the Zip Line and Gorge Swing!

Can you handle the adrenalin rush of traveling at a speed of 106 km’s hurtling 425m across the gorge, while suspended 120m above the breathtaking beauty of the Zambezi water below? As the river zigzags down the Batoka Gorges, our cable is suspended across from one side to the other. For this activity you are harnessed and attached to a pulley, then launched over the edge gathering speed as you descend over the water and reaching a speed of 106 km an hour. This is the longest Zip Line (Foofie Slide) ride in the world.

A giant swing 95m long and 120m high above the Zambezi River. A breathtaking 70m free fall before you begin swinging. This highwire is suspended across the vast Batoka Gorge at a point spanning 316m and plunging a staggering 120m. A harness is attached to the jumper and then the jumping ropes, the other end of which is pivoted to the middle of the cable. The jumper leaps off the edge of the gorge, free falling about 70m before going into a 95m long pendulum type swing.

Imagine abseiling 120m down a brilliant sheer cliff, doing 360-degree twists, descending backwards or rap jumping forwards and walking down the gorge as if to defy gravity itself!Suspended against the rock you can jump out and swing yourself from side to side or round in twists in as timid or confident a manor as you feel! With this product you can try both abseiling and rap jumping. Abseiling is descending backwards down the gorge and lowering yourself all the way to the bottom. Rapp Jumping involves harness being connected backwards enabling you to run or walk down the cliff facing down into the gorge!

Have you ever wondered what it is like to excist beyond the accepted frontiers of the mind - even for a few moments? I think that what goes through the mind when Bungee jumping - launching oneself into a 111 meter void from the Victoria Falls bridge with a rubber cord as the only lifeline!

^^^ T O P ^^

Take on the mighty Zambezi with the wildest one-day trip on the planet, below one of the seven-natural-wonders, the Victoria Falls. On offer are full & half-day rafting and riverboarding trips which are seriously fun, depart daily, include lunch, teas/coffees & transfers and all trips offer photo & DVD coverage.

The rapids on the Zambezi are officially defined as “Grade 5” by the British Canoe Union (Grade 6 being commercially un-run-able)! Hang on for a wild ride as the mighty Zambezi carves its way through one of the great river corridors of the world. This is the domain of the Nyaminyami, the River God of the Tonga people and turned into a highway for rafts.

The best time to raft the Zambezi is October & November when the water is lowest, warmest and at it’s clearest. Rafting operations normally close when the water rises enough to make the rapids too dangerous to run safely. This generally happens in May to June and varies in length dependant on the river level.
